The gimmick is that you'll get better service. Unfortunately with add on fees, higher coats, and very poor service, they are no longer worth your time! Buy your tires at tire rack shipped home, and have local Joe install, or whoever you can actually get in with. Waiting 5+ hours for an appt that keeps getting extended, if you can get an appt at all, is too frustrating. Multiple locations, multiple visits this is what happens...Not a good idea to buy online their website showed us four wheels and tires that were available and then after we paid with PayPal over $1000 we were a few days later told that none of the product was in stock and they didn't know when they could get it and we needed to come into the store to get a refund and stand in the holiday lines with pandemic issues even though we paid online with PayPal. No one ever othered the words we are sorry or we apologize,My recent visit to discount in Aurora when very well! The Usual tire rotation and follow-up and "Houston", she was very cordial, friendly and professional. Then when my car was ready (not very long at all!) No customer service and they lie about the extra warranty. It's only good for 3 years though they sell it as lifetime. Even if you have low miles and barely used they will make you wait 3 plus hours to tell you they won't repair it. I asked, after waiting 2 hours, how much longer? I was told "Shut up and wait". Since I could not drive away I waited. Worst experience of my life.Needed to return order. Took a week to wait for FEDEX before they'd refund me. Their help line is constantly busy and they seem to open tickets and then end up with more than one agent working on the same ticket with poor results. (No internal coordination/communication). If I'd gone with a lightly higher priced set of tires from their competitor, I'd have tires on my vehicle now, instead of 9 emails and worn down phone batteries from waiting on hold. Let alone the wasted time trying to settle my order up and get my refund. I do not recommend this business to anyone.You buy tires and they say we'll fix you're flats for free. So I had a leak and they couldn't get me in until the following week. So I try another store, they were three days out. Okay' I get it your busy but I have to use my truck for work, so I use the auto part store fix and now they won't fix it at all. "We can sell you a new tire sir" I bought all my tires there for years, not anymore. As if the plug is any different than a nail or screw.Wait times are horrendous. They will not honor free services unless you buy more tires. They only honored the included free services after arguing with the sales people and when service was complete they do a bad job. I was a former employee for discount tire and I tell you, I will never buy tires from this company again. Stay away.Made two appointments on the same day for two different cars. Avoid walk-ins and make an appointment if you want fast turnaround. The most efficient and professional operation I have seen for tire installation. Their service and tire selection far exceeded my expectations. Very competitive pricing and was out the door in just one hour! A very happy customer!This is the second time I have had new tires installed and have had TPMS light on. I purchased new tires again today, set of 4. I had no TPMS issues or lights on before I went in. After I got tires and started driving home the light came on. I went back in and they scanned the wheels, I was told. 1 has a low battery and 2 of them are failed, dead. How does this happen? Watch this as it will add a few hundread dollars to the cost!The guy Anthony who greeted me outside before I even showed up to the door was honest about the sensors on my tires told me it's an issue with something else very honest could have ran me money if you wanted I will come back and my family tooTo begin with: Discount Tire is a misnomer. If you're looking for a "discount" you certainly WON'T get it there. I needed tires and I really felt that I was taken advantage of. Discount Tire was the only shop that had what I was looking for and they took advantage of me. Not only was I charged full retail price for the tires but I was also charged for: Certificates for Refund (whatever that is), Waste Tire Disposal and Installation which added an additional $215.92 to my bill. As I said, they had me and I was taken advantage of. Used! Worked over! I'm not a happy customer. I won't go back.Two and a half hours for one flat tire. There weren't many people here when we got here. When I asked the you g service man how much linger and if they had even started he was rude. We were passing through Kerrville and weren't familiar with our options. There are a lot if tire shops here. We'll know next time.Horrible customer service Had tire going flat on Thursday. Problem I had was the amount of time it took from the time I first arrived until the time I was told to return. When my tire rotation was done, I was sent to another job shop to repair a broken stud, which Discount Tire said they did. I was there another three hours waiting for a total of 5 hours for a "tire rotation".It's awful funny that when I purchase something I get great customer service but when I come to any discount tire in Omaha Nebraska for a free air pressure check it's always a hassle. You can completely tell that the staff hate the free air pressure checks. You almost feel guilty getting your air pressure checked at the same place you purchased your Netto tires for your Honda Civic type R. Why even have the service if your employees managers or anyone else hates it and your customers feel guilty because of your staff. Not to mention when you do weight and fill the burden of the staff it usually takes 10 to 15 minutes. Just ridiculous- give yourself a break and stop the service that you don't want to provide anyway.I had $10,000 in credit with 13 years history and they closed my account without warning. No reduction or email. Reason... inactivity. I had a balance when they closed it... sounds like I used it to me. I was the most loyal discount tire user. Always bought my tires there and recommended others to do the same. NO MORE.Horrible feeling to realize you have been tricked into buying tires and rims you did not actually need. Sales person insisted "Rim was corroded" turns out it is a common trick to get customers to believe they need something they don't and rim corrosion is often easily fixed. Plus they failed to honor the warranty on my previous tires due to their people not properly putting my information in their system. Burden of proof the tires were under warranty was placed on me, When I did produce proof they give me run around and try to justify to me they gave me discounts. Not satisfied at all and will never do business with them again, Get a sam's membership and go there, they actually include road side assistance and actually honor the warranty.I purchased a set of tires for my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 and the next day my low pressure light came on. I wasn't able to go back until a few weeks later. When I did go back I had the pleasure of working with a young lady named Stephanie. I wasn't happy about the 2.5 hr wait so I came back the next morning and thankfully I was able to work with her again. She personally checked my pressure both days and checked my sensors the second day. Long story short it was just a bad stem, but her service was right on point.Not to mention she's real easy on the eyes. I appreciate all of her help.I was in the Fayetteville GA location to purchase 2 tires w/o installation, Cash & carry. They told me to have a seat. I sat there nearly an hour while they waited on multiple customers that came in after me. I watched them use high pressure sales techniques to get customers to spend more $ than they needed to. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! I will be contacting the BBB after this.Last week passing through Montgomery Al. I need a new tires. Demarus Johnson Ass. Mgr went why out of his way to help me out. He help me unhooked my trailer held my dog, got me in right now. Sold me 4 tires. Was not a pushy salesman. Very courteous. I was impressed when the manager last week solved a tricky problem. I bought a used 2011 Honda Fit Sport with the low profile tires that caused a bumpy and jarring ride. For a fair price he replaced the 16" rims with 15" rims and the tires with higher sidewalls. That smoothed the ride tremendously without affecting normal handling.Couldn't get the right tires, what is your discount tire four times each time I had to wait in line over 15 to 45 minutes to be able to talk to a representative. The name of the tire wholesaler number and the person to talk to at the wholesaler. After calling three times and waiting on the phone up to 20 minutes they were able to order the correct tire. Being a loyal customer of Discount Tire since 2003, I enjoyed their professional service and prorated discount. Today, Sergio Hernandez, a front desk Technician, took my order using this Mobil app scanning device. Indeed, it is fast and accurate. Throughout 20 years of using service from Discount Tire, I have witnessed their professional service to the community, their speed is fast, and their price is unbeatable! Their staffs are well trained and politely to every customer! Kudos to Discount Tire, who lives up with their company name and service! Last week (2-25-22), as the College Dr. Suffolk, VA store had to order the tires from another store. At that time I was told I would be called the day before my appt. If there was any issues. I received no call and no tires were there to be installed on my vehicle when I arrived. Of course that didn't sit well with me and my drive there was for naught. The manager told me that there was a truck on its way from another store and would be there shortly. I asked why I didn't receive a call yesterday and I received pleasant lip service but still not feeling the love, I returned to the counter and asked him to cancel my $750 order. He then again tried to calm me by saying that the truck would be there soon. Once your trust has been broken, I'm afraid it is very difficult to have it replaced. He went on to offer me a free tire and I told him, that I want my order cancelled and monies returned as they are not the only tire business in town. He obliged me and I off I went without my tires and committed to never give another dime to Tire Discount again. As a sidebar to this, I also bought a set of tires back in Sept. For my 4x4 and asked the service counter person who was helping me to lube up my spare tire receiver with lithium grease as they were replacing the spare as well. I did supply him with the lubricant and asked him when I picked it up if they did grease it and was told yes sir, sure did. Once home, I went underneath my rig and as you can guess, found absolutely no evidence that there was and lithium on it. "Two times the charm", is all I'll say.
